Accredited Member of the FIS
We’re pleased to announce that Mellor & Co has been formally accredited as a member of the Finishes & Interiors Sector (FIS), the UK’s leading representative body for the £10 billion fit-out, finishes, and interiors industry.
FIS membership isn’t automatic. Companies must go through a rigorous vetting process based on FIS’s PPP Quality Framework, which focuses on Product, Process, and People. This accreditation provides our clients with an independent endorsement of the high standards we uphold across all areas of our dry lining, ceilings, partitions, and interior finishing work.
“FIS is a highly respected organisation at the forefront of the interior systems sector. We’re proud to stand alongside other accredited members in helping raise the bar for quality and consistency across the industry. This membership reinforces our commitment to excellence in every project we deliver.”
– Tom Mellor, Company Director
Why It Matters for Our Clients
Being FIS-accredited means more than just joining a trade body, it reflects a serious commitment to professionalism and compliance. As a vetted member, we’re independently assessed on both entry and every three years thereafter. This ensures:
We adhere to recognised technical standards and installation guides
Our processes are structured around quality assurance and accountability
Our team is fully aligned with current best practices, industry innovation, and health & safety regulations
For clients, this means added confidence that Mellor & Co will deliver to a consistently high standard, with work that’s not only compliant but backed by best-in-class guidance and expertise.
Part of a Collaborative, Quality-Focused Supply Chain
The FIS community spans contractors, manufacturers, and installers committed to raising standards across the industry. As members, we benefit from ongoing access to technical support, training, legal advice, and sustainability guidance, all of which feed into better outcomes for our clients.
Looking Ahead
Mellor & Co’s FIS membership is a natural progression of our long-standing focus on doing things properly, from early-stage project coordination through to on-site delivery and aftercare. We see this accreditation as both a recognition of our work to date and a platform for continuous improvement.
We’d also like to thank the team at FIS for their incredible support in our journey so far, we greatly look forward to continuing this relationship.
